AARP Eye Center
Marietta is a historic riverboat town featuring elegant Victorian mansions and shady brick streets. But there is another Marietta, a city few see. A Hidden Marietta that exists just below the surface of ordinary life.
Come explore the other side of Marietta and experience its history with other AARP members and friends on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, when an experienced guide leads a 1-hour walking tour at 3 p.m. and a 2-hour walking tour at 6 p.m.
Tours depart from the fountain at the corner of Front and Greene Streets, across from the Lafayette Hotel. The total distance covered is a little over one mile. Although the entire course of the tour is over paved or brick streets, comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended.
Tour tickets are $7 for AARP members and guests, payable on arrival at the tour (cash only). Registration is required. RSVP by calling toll-free 877-926-8300 or online by selecting a tour by departure hour:
3 p.m. walking tour on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014
6 p.m. walking tour on Wednesday Oct. 15, 2014
We look forward to meeting you for a walk through Hidden Marietta.
