AARP Virginia has canceled the 97th District candidate forum that was set to take place between Delegate Michael Feggans and former delegate Tim Anderson on Tuesday, September 23, at the Kempsville Area Library in Virginia Beach.
We're fighting every day to make aging easier. Your voice matters, and we help make sure that our elected officials in the Commonwealth hear it.
Find free online and local events including exercise classes, cooking demos, helpful workshops and more.
AARP speakers are available on a wide range of topics including Social Security, fraud prevention and more.

The 2020 Faithful Aging Conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on March 31, at the Bonsack United Methodist Church (4493 Bonsack Road NE, Roanoke, Virginia 24012). All persons from different faith backgrounds are invited to attend this event so that they can learn, network, and share best ministry practices.

The SEVA Region is starting 2020 off right with networking opportunities on both sides of the tunnel with their perspective "Lunch Bunch" Groups.
It is tax season, and people are beginning to file their returns. As you gather your paperwork, do you feel like you could use some help? Or maybe you are in a position to assist others with their returns. Either way, there is good news. The AARP Foundation helps provide the means to receive and recruit Tax-Aide services for the community.
AARP SEVA volunteers are putting one foot forward with the addition of two new AARP Walking Groups in the region. Both groups were inspired by the area's first Walking Group in Chesapeake, led by Sharon Gooden-Harrell.
