AARP Eye Center
April is National Volunteer Month – a time to recognize the importance of volunteerism and to celebrate the significant contributions that volunteers make in communities across the country. At AARP Virginia, we have always been proud of the strong spirit of service and leadership that we see in our volunteers. The current health crisis has presented many challenges, but it has also given us the opportunity to see the long-lasting impact of the important work we have done.
Even though we are not able to gather together and serve in the same ways right now, we are still impacting lives across the commonwealth. It is thanks to the dedicated efforts and support of our volunteers over the years that we can be a wise friend and a fierce defender in these uncertain times for the people we serve. Together, we are providing Virginians with valuable information and resources, advocating on their behalf with elected officials, and creating opportunities for them to connect with their neighbors. That has not changed.
On behalf of the association, we want to thank you for all that you do as an AARP Virginia volunteer. AARP is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to age with dignity and a sense of purpose. We’re on a mission to enhance the quality of life for all people as we age, and we couldn’t do it without the dedicated efforts of volunteers like you. It is a privilege to work with you. Thank you for being a valuable member of our team.
