AARP Virginia will celebrate the organization’s Diamond Anniversary on the baseball diamond July 12 when the Hillcats face the Potomac Nationals.

To celebrate 60 years of helping people age 50 and older live their best lives, the first 200 AARP members in attendance will receive a free all-you-can-eat buffet in AARP's 3rd Base Picnic Area and Party Deck.

WHAT:  AARP Night at the Ballpark

WHERE: Lynchburg Hillcats Stadium, 3180 Fort Avenue, Lynchburg, VA  24501

WHEN: Thursday, July 12, 2018.  The buffet and gates open at 5:30 p.m. and game time is 6:30 p.m.

AARP was founded in 1958 by retired school principal Ethel Percy Andrus.  It has grown into the nation’s largest nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to empowering Americans 50 and older to choose how they live as they age. With nearly 38 million members – and more than 1 million members in Virginia – AARP has offices in every state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. AARP works to strengthen communities and advocate for what matters most to families with a focus on health security, financial stability and personal fulfillment.

Come out to the ballpark on July 12, celebrate with us, chow down on some great food, and learn what AARP Virginia is doing in your community.  No products will be promoted or sold.

Game tickets are $7 in advance or $8 at the gate for general admission tickets and $10/ticket advance or $11/ticket at the gate for reserved seating. However, seating will be available in the picnic area and party deck for the entire game, so general admission seating is suggested.

To purchase tickets in advance please call (434) 528-1144 or visit lynchburg-hillcats.com today.
