AARP Eye Center
If you are a budding or experienced writer, or like to take photos or videos with your smartphone, we have a volunteer position for you!
AARP Virginia is seeking to expand its Virtual Volunteer Newsroom. We are looking for people who like to write, have a grasp of grammar and punctuation, or experience with photography or videography.
Want to know more? Join the AARP Virginia Virtual Volunteer Newsroom for a casual gathering in October. Enjoy light refreshments and chat with AARP Virginia staff and volunteers about how you can put your writing, photography, social media, or computer skills to work to tell the story of AARP’s work in your community.
The AARP Virginia Virtual Volunteer Newsroom is a team of volunteers who promote AARP activities with the public and local media; take photos and videos of AARP events, write stories for the AARP.org/Va website, and share the AARP story on social media. AARP volunteers receive training and equipment, and are reimbursed for travel expenses such as mileage or meals that they incur supporting AARP events. Join us and explore whether you would like to join our volunteer newsroom team!
Find a Meet & Greet close to you, and sign up to learn more about how you can put your skills to work with the AARP Virginia Virtual Volunteer Newsroom!
