If you had the chance to help a neighbor, solve a community problem, or advocate for a cause you care about, would you do it?
AARP Virginia Values Your Experience.
Through AARP you can use your experience, talent, and creativity to make an impact in your community — and meet some new friends along the way! As an AARP volunteer you can direct your passion for making a difference to enhance the quality of life for people 50+ in the Fredericksburg area through education, advocacy, or service.
Like you, AARP cares about the whole Fredericksburg community; so we also work with selected local community organizations to offer a range of great volunteer opportunities. If volunteering for AARP doesn’t fit your interests, we are sure one of our community partner organizations will be a perfect fit.
AARP was founded on the energy, efforts, and commitment of volunteers. Today, AARP continues the vision of its founder and first volunteer, Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus, to offer ways for people to channel their skills and interests to serve their communities.
If you want to learn more about issues affecting Virginians age 50+ and how to join a community of people working to make a difference, join us for a volunteer information event.
