Virginia Black History Month Events in Fredericksburg, VA

The Virginia Black History Month Association will host cultural events in Fredericksburg in February to commemorate, celebrate and educate the community on the accomplishments of African Americans.  Events include the Annual Prayer Breakfast, Chapel Service, Theater Presentation and a Formal Dinner.  Each event is open to the public and everyone is welcomed!
Roland Martin will be the keynote speaker for the Formal Dinner on Saturday, February 23, 2012 at the Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center.  Martin is an award-winning journalist and CNN Analyst.  He is the author of "Listening to the Spirit Within: 50 Perspectives on Faith", "Speak, Brother!  A Black Man's View of America," and "The First: President Barack Obama's Road to the White House."  Martin was named one of the 150 Most Influential African Americans in the US by Ebony Magazine in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
