AARP has selected Redmond resident Bob DeWald as the 2020 recipient of the AARP Washington Andrus Award for Community Service -- the Association’s most prestigious and visible state volunteer award for community service.

Much of the Tacoma’s work focuses on pedestrian safety, rising rents and limited public transit. Last year it did major sidewalk repairs and installed hundreds of curb ramps.

We’re writing with an important message to let you know that we have canceled our external events until further notice. While convening events is a core part of our mission, we have changed our approach in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

There are about $675 billion reasons that you should care about the 2020 Census. The census influences how your tax dollars are spent over the next ten years. For every person who isn’t counted it costs your community tens of thousands of dollars.

Our national lawmakers are holding Town Halls around the state in the month of August. This is a great opportunity to talk with them about the issues of concern to you.
