After two years of debate and passage of multiple bills offering Wyoming residents property tax relief, AARP Wyoming’s Government Relations Team (GRT) will host a meeting looking back on the impacts of this legislation at noon on Thursday, Sept. 18 in Cheyenne.

AARP Wyoming will host a free paper shredding event from 10 a.m. to noon on Sept. 27 in the parking lot of the Campbell County Senior Center located at 701 Stocktrail Avenue in Gillette.

Thursday afternoon, Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon signed House Bill 99 into law. HB99 is the expansion of eligibility requirements for the Property Tax Refund Program.
AARP Wyoming and veterans organizations around the state will host a free Military Veterans Resource Fair and Lunch at American Legion Post 14 in Laramie on April 29.
Today in Cheyenne Governor Mark Gordon signed a proclamation declaring Wyoming a Hidden Heroes State, which recognizes the caregivers of veterans across Wyoming, while highlighting some of the available resources for military caregivers.
Women's History Month is underway, and we're excited to celebrate the ground-breaking contributions of amazing women to communities nationwide. Originating as Women's History Week in 1981, March was officially dedicated to honoring women's achievements in 1987. The Property Tax Relief picture is starting to come into focus. On Friday, the Senate passed the Property Tax Refund program. The bill has now passed both chambers, but won’t go to the Governor’s Desk just yet.

The eighth annual Souper Bowl food drive, staffed and sponsored by AARP’s Sheridan Community Action Team (CAT) netted an estimated 1,100 pounds of food for local food banks in the Sheridan County area, last week.
Senate File 24 - Financial Exploitation of a Vulnerable Adult - passed the Senate last week and made it through Second Read in the House on Friday.
