With the arrival of the Delta Variant of COVID-19 has come questions about what the variation of the virus means for Wyomingites. At 3 p.m. on July 7, Pharmacist Stevi Sy will offer facts about the Delta Variant and how to fight it.

Sy will use the webinar to offer an overview of the Delta Variant, where it came from and how transmissible it can be. She will also lead a discussion on who should be worried about new variants and how to avoid them, including when masks might need to be worn, Finally Sy will help participants understand what is known about vaccine coverage with the Delta Variant and other variants of concern.

“The Delta variant, which has been sweeping across the world, is driving up hospital admissions in Wyoming,” Sy says. “There are concerns with rodeo and tourist season, the variant will spread faster across the state. It’s important that Wyomingites know how to protect themselves.”
