AARP to Host Gov Debate Watch Party October 23 in Bridgeport

AARP Connecticut is hosting a multi-generational Debate Watching Party for the upcoming Gubernatorial Debate scheduled for October 23, 2014 sponsored by NBC Connecticut.  The AARP Debate Watch Party begins at 5:45 p.m. at The Bijou Theatre, 275 Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport.  The event is free and includes food and non-alcoholic beverages.  It is open to the public, however, advance registration is required.  Register online or by calling toll-free 1-877-926-8300.

Join us for a fun and engaging evening where you'll learn more about AARP’s voter education efforts in CT and watch that evening’s televised 7 PM gubernatorial debate on The Bijou’s big screen.  Professor Gary Rose, chairman of the department of government and politics at Sacred Heart University will give a brief pre-debate analysis of the race and this year’s elections in CT, with time for audience Q and A.  Capacity is limited so reserve your seat today!
