Last fall, AARP New Hampshire officially intervened in the Eversource rate case. AARP New Hampshire has 212,000 members statewide, primarily age 50 and older, and 86% live within the Eversource provider area. AARP filed alternative recommendations in the proceeding.

This summer, AARP New Hampshire is marking a major milestone—the 90th anniversary of Social Security—with an outdoor celebration you won't want to miss. On August 23 (9-11 am) you’re invited to join us at The Crust & Crumb Baking Company (126 North Main Street) in Concord, for a fun, free event that blends sweet treats with meaningful conversation.

A new AARP survey, released in conjunction with Social Security’s 90th anniversary, confirms that Americans highly value Social Security, and even more so than five years ago. The vast majority of Americans – 95% of Republicans, 98% of Democrats, and 93% of Independents – consider Social Security vital to the financial security of all Americans, and 67% believe it is even more important for retirees than it was five years ago.

Scammers steal billions of dollars from unsuspecting consumers every year. The impact on victims and their families can be financially and emotionally devastating, especially for older Americans.
