AARP has produced a non-partisan gubernatorial video voter guide featuring the two candidates for governor of Kentucky –Matt Bevin (R) and Jack Conway (D) – answering key questions about family caregivers and Kentuckians’ retirement security.
“Kentuckians want to know more about where the candidates stand on the pocketbook issues affecting their lives,” said AARP Kentucky State President Jim Kimbrough. “We’re thankful to both candidates for thoughtfully sharing their insights with us.”
The video comes as part of a nearly three decades, non-partisan voter engagement effort that has been part of AARP’s mission to help Americans live their best lives.
This is one more way that AARP is promoting civic engagement with straight talk from the candidates in their own words. On October 6 th at 7:00 pm, AARP, Centre College and WAVE3News have formed a partnership to deliver the state’s most extensive broadcast coverage (TV/Radio) of any debates in this election cycle. WAVE3News and many of its NBC affiliate stations will broadcast the Debate across the state. Kentuckians can check their local listings for air times.
AARP encourages Kentuckians to make their personal voting decisions on Election Day – Tuesday, November 3, 2015.
