AARP Tennessee Partners with Lotsa Helping Hands to Promote Caregiver Relief, Volunteer Engagement

New Online Communities Promote Caregiver Relief, Volunteer Engagement

AARP and Lotsa Helping Hands today announced a partnership to support Tennessee caregivers and volunteers through free online caring communities.

Caregivers can tap into and organize the help they need by creating a private caring community. These online communities help caregivers juggle daily tasks by coordinating the efforts of friends and family who offer help.

In addition, AARP volunteers and members now have a tool to bring people together who want to rally around a local service project - and organize the many facets of those projects.

Each AARP Tennessee community is completely customizable based on the needs of each specific caregiver or community group. Family, friends, and neighbors can join (or be added) to the group, using as little as a name and email address, then choose how they'd like to lend a helping hand.

This free resource features a help calendar for organizing tasks and even sends automatic reminders to folks who volunteer.

Caregivers and volunteers in AARP Tennessee communities join nearly 1.4 million Lotsa Helping Hands members operating in Lotsa communities across the country. To create your own caring community, visit aarptn.lotsahelpinghands.com.
