Anderson county AARP chapters are hosting a joint meeting to discuss the barriers to public transportation on Tuesday, Oct. 15th .
Volunteers are requested to prepare covered dishes for this event. Volunteers: Please place names on lids/pans or bring disposable serving wear for convenience.
Location - Clinton Community Center. 101 Hicks Street Clinton TN
Guest speaker - Warren Sectest Chairperson CAC Transit Planning Committee.
Topic - Update on the Inclusive Planning for Transportation Program.
Open discussion on the transportation needs of seniors and the handicapped in Anderson County will include but not be limited to:
1) What services are currently available.
2) Barriers to services that are currently available.
3) Why current services are not being used.
4) How should current services be modified.
Registration begins at 11:15 am.
Lunch is at 11.30.
Program begins at NOON and will last approximately 1 hour.
