The FTC announces record losses as the scam epidemic shows no sign of abating

AARP Executive Vice President and Chief Advocacy and Engagement Officer Nancy LeaMond issued the following statement related to comments about changes at the Social Security Administration (SSA).
The acting head of the Social Security Administration (SSA) on Feb. 19 sought to reassure older Americans that payments will continue as usual and that Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) staff have limited access to its systems, amid growing concerns over service disruptions and the privacy of beneficiaries’ personal data.

Gnomes are popping up everywhere! As a community service project, AARP Volunteers in Prescott & Prescott Valley AZ handcrafted 30 gnomes thru a process that included cutting, gluing and decorating with style! The gnomes were then donated to the residents at two Assisted Living Communities in Prescott and one in Tucson. The very cute gnomes were well received by the residential communities and are now sitting atop tables in lobby and recreational areas! AARP AZ is grateful to have been able to do this project and to find new homes for cute gnomes!
AARP is working to educate voters about new laws recently passed by the Arizona Legislature. One law could remove roughly 200,000 Arizonans from the state’s popular early-voting list.
