A new Gallup report shows that Arkansas led the nation in reducing the rate of uninsured adults during the first six months of 2014.

The Natural State's uninsured rate dropped to 12.4% halfway through this year, compared with 22.5% at the end of last year.

Arkansas' Private Option for affordable health care, passed by the Arkansas Legislature in 2013 and renewed this year—in both instances with strong bipartisan majorities—played a key role in this tremendously positive development for our state.
