Receiving a call from an unknown number may seem harmless, but it could be the start a scam. Criminals are using increasingly sophisticated tactics to deceive you into revealing personal information or making payments.

Weak passwords are one of the biggest cybersecurity risks today.In fact, a recent AARP report revealed that 65% of Americans do not use distinctly different passwords on all their accounts. That means when one account is compromised, others are at risk.

Caregiving may be one of the most important, and challenging, roles you’ll ever take on.

AARP Utah has long partnered with the United Way of Northern Utah and right now they are looking for volunteers. Through their AmeriCorps program, they are looking for math tutors for students at Bonneville and Lincoln Elementaries. Volunteers would mentor students during school hours, are eligible for a stipend, and must pass a background check.

Scams are epidemic these days as criminals use every conceivable avenue to separate consumers from their cash. It makes sense that they frequently pretend to be big companies or institutions affiliated with millions of people (potential victims, in their minds).
