El lunes 13 de junio de 2016, Adriana Meza Gonzalez graduanda de la Abraham Lincoln High School, fue seleccionada como la ganadora del Andrus Opportunity Award y recibió además $5,000 para ayudarla a pagar por su educación. El premio es nombrado en honor de la fundadora de AARP Dra. Ethel Percy Andrus, quien fue la directora de Lincoln High de 1916 a 1944.
