The Little Village Community is excited about the highly anticipated AARP Illinois commissioned mural: Celebrando Comunidad. A recent post on the “La Villita, Chicago" Facebook Page announcing the mural received an overwhelming positive response.
The excitement builds for the AARP-commissioned mural, Celebrando Comunidad, by local artist Elizabeth Reyes in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood! TODAY, bright and early, workers started to remove the existing paint off the walls of a proud neighborhood establishment, Nuevo Leon Restaurant. This, and a lot of work to come, is in preparation for the greatly-anticipated mural.
