RALEIGH – AARP North Carolina today released a new election year poll showing that 50+ voters in November elections worry a secure retirement could be out of reach for them. Voters also want to see candidates who focus on improving their financial security, as they believe incomes have not kept up with their cost of living, especially health costs, taxes and retirement security.

To express heartfelt gratitude to the volunteer leaders and organizations who are working to support AARP’s vision and mission, AARP North Carolina’s staff and Executive Council held a special awards ceremony in July.

How is Guilford County responding to the needs of the uninsured? A partnership between Carter Behavioral Health and the Guilford County Department of Public Health has been helping limited-income residents of the county access the health care they need. RALEIGH -- Hundreds of advocates and people served by long-term care support services urged their North Carolina elected leaders to reject harmful budget cuts to programs that help older adults and persons with disabilities and family caregivers.
