AARP members who are NBA basketball fans can enjoy a Denver Nuggets game at half price and perform an act of community service at the same time. The Colorado state office is sponsoring AARP night at the Pepsi Center Dec. 15, when the Nuggets play the New Orleans Pelicans.
At the AARP booth inside the arena, members can donate books suitable for children from kindergarten through third grade, which will be distributed by Serve Colorado, the Governor’s Commission on Community Service. Members also can get information on issues important to Coloradans age 50-plus.
