AARP DC and Legal Counsel for the Elderly Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) are proud to announce a free community shred day and fraud forum on Friday, June 27, 2014.

Drop off unneeded personal and financial information for shredding. To serve as many consumers as possible, volunteers will be onsite to assist  with unloading your vehicle. Due to the support of Shred-It and our volunteers, there is NO CHARGE for this service. No reservation needed.  Bring your items to be shredded between 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Also on this same day, attend a FREE Fraud Watch Network Forum with fraud awareness information from AARP DC, Legal Counsel for the Elderly (LCE) Senior Medicare Patrol, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and Pepco.  AARP’s Fraud Watch Network is your source for information on how to protect your identity, read about potential scams, and ask your questions. Light refreshments will be provided available for attendees of the Fraud Watch Forum. Registration required for this FREE forum.
