AARP New Mexico invites local eligible nonprofit organizations and government agencies to apply for the 2026 AARP Community Challenge grant program, now through Tuesday, March 4, 2026, at 3 p.m. Mountain. AARP Community Challenge grants fund quick-action projects that help communities become more livable by improving public places, transportation, housing, digital connections, and more.

AARP Ohio works local leaders and residents to help ensure that communities statewide are livable for people of all ages. Toward achieving that goal, AARP provides tools and resources to use to help make your community age-friendly.
The AARP Pickleball Clinic Tour is coming to Albuquerque. This free clinic will consist of an on-court guided session with licensed instructors, focusing on warm-up, basic technique, skills building, and game play for players of all levels.
AARP Community Challenge grant applications are open until March.
Shirley Sgouros, 63, of Baltimore, is AARP Maryland’s winner of the Andrus Award for Community Service, based on her dedication to her Upper Fells Point neighborhood and its residents. From picking up trash and planting flowers, to organizing culturally rich events, she brings neighbors together to celebrate the community.

Join AARP Rhode Island to engage with state lawmakers at its annual legislative reception on Thursday, Feb. 5, at 3 p.m. in the capitol’s State Room.
