As of November 1, 2025, millions of Americans—including many older adults—may not receive their monthly food benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) due to the ongoing federal government shutdown. This disruption affects individuals living on fixed incomes, many of whom rely on SNAP to afford groceries and maintain their health.

This November, AARP Colorado is celebrating National Family Caregivers Month with events and resources to entertain and empower caregivers across the state.
Many of Colorado's safest and most experienced drivers benefit from information that helps them adjust to an evolving array of changes in car technologies, roadway designs, traffic laws and rules, and also in themselves. Many of these Baby Boomers have no plans to retire their freedom and independence by giving up the wheel of their car anytime soon.
You're invited to the Second Annual Resource Fair for Seniors and Caregivers.
Our good friends at Wish of a Lifetime recently launched their second annual #14er4aSenior campaign to help raise funds to grant life-enriching wishes to seniors. The campaign encourages people in Colorado to hike any 14er in honor of a grandparent, a neighbor, or a senior that inspires you. By making a donation to the organization, not only will you be helping to improve the lives of seniors in Colorado and across the country, you’ll also be entered into a giveaway to win a trip to the Caribbean! Join us in supporting their cause, together we can change the lives of many seniors!
