Every 60 seconds, someone in the U.S. develops dementia. As adult children reunite with their aging parents during the holidays, they often notice worrying signs that their elders’ memories are failing.
Boulder County is the latest Colorado County inducted into the AARP Network of Age-Friendly communities.
AARP Colorado would like to inform you that Family Health West, HopeWest and Fruita Parks & Recreation are hosting a free screening and discussion of the PBS program Being Mortal. the event will take place on Saturday, November 19, 2016, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the Fruita Community Center, 324 N. Coulson Street, Fruita, CO. All community members, caregivers, nurses and physicians are welcome to attend.
AARP Colorado is excited to introduce you to our community partner, A Little Help. A Little Help is a Colorado nonprofit that connects neighbors across ages to enhance lives and strengthen our communities. A Little Help helps older adults thrive in their homes by connecting them intergenerationally with neighbors who volunteer for a variety of services.
AARP Colorado is sponsoring the 13th Annual Indigenous Film & Arts Festival finale, Chasing the Light, November 9, 2016, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.
