Q: What's an easy way to help protect yourself and your loved ones from ID theft?

A: Shredding no longer needed, sensitive, or confidential documents, of course!

AARP Massachusetts and the AARP Fraud Watch Network are holding a free shredding event in Barnstable on May 19, from 1-4 p.m., at the Barnstable Council on Aging.

The event is open to the public, and an RSVP is not needed. Protect yourself from ID theft — shred instead!

Note: At our shredding events, we collect for the hungry, so please consider bringing a non-perishable food item to help those in need.
