AARP Eye Center
While convening and supporting events is a core part of AARP’s mission, we have changed our approach in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and canceled/postponed events managed by AARP. We are also closely monitoring postponing or suspending our involvement and participation of public events managed by outside organizations.
Those who registered for a canceled/postponed event will receive an email with details and the new date if the event is rescheduled. For any additional questions or information, please email the AARP Connecticut state office at CTAARP@aarp.org and someone will get back to you. We also recommend frequently checking this web site for updates.
At AARP, we have been promoting the health and well-being of older Americans for over 60 years. Our top priority is the health and well-being of staff, volunteers, members and the community at large. We are monitoring developments closely and have taken all precautions recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local public health agencies.
We want you to know that AARP is providing information and resources to help older people and caregivers protect themselves from the virus and prevent its spread. You can find AARP's coronavirus resources at www.aarp.org/coronavirus. We also point you to www.cdc.gov/coronavirus, and your state and local health agency for the latest information.
AARP hosted a Coronavirus Information Tele-Town Hall event on March 10 with federal health experts where they discussed the symptoms of COVID-19, how to protect yourself, and what it means for older adults and family caregivers. A replay is available here.
