AARP is proud to announce our fifth annual bipartisan class of Capitol Caregivers, who fought this year to increase support for family caregivers and their loved ones. Nationwide, AARP has recognized legislators in each state for the support they have provided for caregivers. Here in Delaware, Reps. Ruth Briggs King and Debra Heffernan are this year's awardees. AARP in Delaware thanks them for all they do to make life better for Delaware's 123,000 family caregivers.

Some people may be able to reduce their prescription drug costs substantially by switching to a different Part D plan.

With nearly 10 million new cases of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease occurring each year 1, and no cure, today AARP launched a new campaign, “Disrupt Dementia.” The campaign aims to help drive new diagnostics and treatments for dementias while providing education, support and hope for patients and family caregivers impacted by the physical, emotional and financial stress of dementia.
