AARP Oklahoma is recruiting volunteers to be dispatched next time a disaster strikes. According to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Oklahoma has been hit with more natural disasters in the past 60 years than any other states except California and Texas. Last spring the AARP Foundation raised more than $670,000 to aid tornado victims.
AARP is seeking volunteers with experience in health care, communications, law enforcement, firefighting, food preparation, debris removal and light construction. To become part of the AARP Oklahoma disaster relief team, call 866-295-7277 toll-free or email ok@aarp.org.
