More 50+ Americans are finding out every day that owning a small business can be a great opportunity. Whether out of necessity to generate income or to turn a passion into a paycheck, older entrepreneurs are starting small businesses more than any other age group!

So where do you start if you're interested? How do you turn an idea into reality? Tune into a special AARP Encore Entrepreneur telephone town hall meeting on Wednesday, October 28 from 7-8 p.m. Experts from AARP and the Small Business Administration will share advice and resources for people who want to start or expand their small business. The one-hour event, moderated by AARP Virginia State Director Jim Dau, will feature Natalia Olson-Urtecho from the Small Business Administration and Jen Holz with AARP Maryland. Together, they will share information and resources about how to start a small business.
