AARP Massachusetts invites local residents to voice their thoughts and concerns about the future of Medicare and Social Security during a You’ve Earned a Say Community Conversation on Thursday, Sept. 12, from 1:30-2:30 p.m., at the Amherst Senior Center in the Bangs Community Center, Amherst.

The You’ve Earned a Say conversation will be moderated by Michael Festa, state director for AARP Massachusetts, and Linda Fitzgerald, state president for AARP Massachusetts, which serves more than 800,000 members age 50 and older in the commonwealth.  Jessica Costantino, director of advocacy, AARP Massachusetts, will also be in attendance.

“Through You’ve Earned a Say, we’re keeping you updated with balanced information about Medicare and Social Security proposals, without the political jargon and spin," says Linda Fitzgerald, state president for AARP Massachusetts. "Ensure your voice is heard so our leaders in Washington aren't making decisions about the future of Medicare and Social Security without hearing from you.”

With You’ve Earned a Say, AARP is fighting to take the conversation about Medicare and Social Security out of the budget debate in Washington so we can find responsible solutions that keep the promises we’ve made, to today’s seniors and future generations.
