A Family Caregiver Conference is scheduled in Poplar Bluff on Friday, November 6, 2015. From 8:30 a.m. until 1:00p p.m. The Fellowship General Baptist Church, 3581 N. Westwood Blvd., will be the backdrop for the conference.
The conference will feature topics on fraud and legal issues for caregivers. A special presentation on caregiving will be presented by AARP Missouri Speakers Bureau volunteer Michael Crew. There will also be a panel discussion on “Access to In-Home Care,” “Nursing Home Selection,” and Medicare.
Key conference sponsors are AARP Missouri, Aging Matters, Butler County Health Department, Community Resource Council, Family Counseling Center, VA Family Caregiver Support, Visiting Nurses Association, and the University of Missouri Extension.
