Advocating for what is important to our members and giving you a voice at the state and federal levels is a priority for AARP Minnesota. Your voice matters. We work with local organizations and town and city officials on making our communities more livable and greater places to age with dignity and purpose.

Recently, AARP Florida announced the recipients of the 2024 Community Challenge grants—a select group of organizations throughout the state. These grantees will undertake quick-action projects this year, addressing critical areas such as public spaces, transportation, housing, digital connectivity and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Their efforts prioritize the needs of residents aged 50 and above.

As the sun cast a golden hue over miles and miles of the Vietnam’s countryside, a group of cyclists bike through the serene landscape of rolling fields and rows upon rows of coffee crops.

AARP volunteers are working across the state to educate Floridians on how and where to vote in the state primary, on Tuesday, Aug. 20, and the general election, on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

AARP is investing $101,920.00 in Florida communities as part of a nationwide grant program. Twelve communities across Florida are getting a boost in their work to become more livable for residents of all ages.

AARP Florida recently named Rima Nathan, Director of Florida State University’s Claude Pepper Elder Law Clinic, a Florida Fraud Fighter of distinction at their Opening Minds Through Art event, held June 21.
