Focusing on Fraud, Caregiving With Veterans

Operation-Protect-Veterans-bug

Kentucky is home to more than 300,000 veterans, and nearly 3 out of 4 are 50-plus. AARP Kentucky is committed to supporting the needs of veterans of all generations and helping them through the transitions they face in civilian life.

“Veterans and their families, especially those who served in the Vietnam era, often feel forgotten,” said Charlotte Whittaker, AARP state president. “They value our efforts to bring focus to their service and sacrifice.”

In 2017, AARP Kentucky cosponsored the World War I exhibit at the Kentucky State Fair and the four-day Welcome Home Celebration in Clarksville, Tenn. The state office will continue to collaborate with veterans groups in 2018, particularly to provide resources related to caregiving and fraud.
