Moving Conversation to Action is the theme of the fifth annual Family Caregiver Conference cosponsored by AARP Idaho. The popular daylong conference will be Saturday, Feb. 20, in the Student Union Building at Boise State University.

The conference aims to help the estimated 196,000 family caregivers in Idaho, whose support enables many older Idahoans to continue to live at home. Idaho caregivers’ unpaid services—worth about $2.2 billion per year—are especially needed in rural areas where access to long-term care services is limited.

The conference features presentations, exhibits and resources addressing caregivers’ needs. Experts discuss practical strategies as well as best practices. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m., and lunch is included in the $30 fee. To register, go to fiaboise.org.
