On December 15 th, as a proud sponsor, AARP Idaho will help place wreaths on Veteran’s headstones as part of the Wreaths Across America Day event in Idaho.

AARP members and guests are invited to participate in a telephone town hall meeting with Governor-elect Brad Little. AARP Idaho state director Lupe Wissel will moderate the call and take questions from the audience regarding recent election results, the upcoming 2019 Idaho Legislative session, health care and several other issues important to the 50+ in Idaho.
Volunteers are needed to wrap Christmas gifts for military veterans at the Idaho State Veterans Home on Saturday, November 17th. Volunteers do not need to bring anything other than their enthusiasm. Gifts, wrapping materials, and refreshments will be provided.

To help people in need this season of Thanksgiving, t hose in attendance are encouraged to bring canned and boxed food to benefit the Metro Community Services food bank. Destination Caldwell was recently awarded a 2018 AARP Community Engagement Grant to assist with the implementation of the Articulture program at Indian Creek Plaza. Articulture is a public art collaboration between local artists and community members. Projects are created and facilitated by a local artist while community members are invited to help create and manifest the art together.
