New Campaign Focuses on Federal and State Solutions to Cut Drug Prices Now

Springfield – A Peoria woman was celebrated Tuesday by the Illinois General Assembly and Senate for her lifetime of work in support of the aging population in Illinois.

New legislation seeks to improve nursing home quality of care; provide much-needed financial relief to family caregivers.

Good news for those who have a genetic link to Alzheimer’s disease – and even those who don’t: add better sleep (and improved brain health!) to the long list of benefits of exercise.

AARP Illinois, in concert with Money Smart Week (March 30-April 6), will host forums throughout the state to promote financial literacy.

Older adults consistently show up at the polls in higher numbers than other age groups, and this week’s Chicago Mayoral election was a prime example, according to AARP-Illinois, a non-profit, non-partisan organization that works to improve the lives of those 50+ and their families.
