Iowans are invited to attend an upcoming Social Security solutions forum in their community this fall to discuss the importance of Social Security to the economic security of Iowans for generations to come.
(DES MOINES, Iowa) – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and AARP are collaborating to present two free franchising workshops for prospective small business owners on August 29, in Urbandale and West Des Moines. The workshops will be presented by Blake Martin, a franchise specialist with FranNet and a mentor with the SCORE Omaha Chapter.
AARP Iowa, the Family Caregivers Center of Mercy and the Iowa Area Agencies on Aging are teaming up to broadcast a live, online family caregiving event from Nashville, Tenn., featuring author and speaker Peter Rosenberger. Rosenberger, founder of Caregivers With Hope, will lead the free, interactive webinar titled “Unstuck: Lightening the Heart of the Family Caregiver with Humor,” Thursday, August 25th from 6-7 p.m. CT.
