It’s Manage Your Money Week in the Golden State!

We know how important financial security is to you and your family. That’s why we’re taking part in the California State Controller’s Office’s 1st annual Manage Your Money Week, October 18-25, 2014. We’ve joined other state and local government agencies, non-profit organizations, unions, schools, libraries, financial institutions, and financial management associations to provide Californians free and easy-to-use tools and resources to help you manage your money.

When should you claim your benefits you’ve earned? Let AARP’s Social Security Calculator help you figure out how much retirement income you’ll receive at different claiming ages, so you can determine when you should begin receiving Social Security. Is your retirement on track? Use our Retirement calculator to plan your financial future so you can retire when - and how - you want. What about managing your home budget? This calculator can help you do that. You can find all these resources and more  here.

We’ve listened to our members and the community share what their financial goals are for themselves and their family. Retirement, paying off debt, and buying a home ranked high. What is your financial goal? Whether it's paying off debt or starting a business, we want to hear from you. AARP is working to ensure you have what you need to take control of your future and live the life you want to live. Make sure to check out our resources and pass them along to family and friends.
