A new AARP survey, released in conjunction with Social Security’s 90th anniversary, confirms that Americans highly value Social Security, and even more so than five years ago. The vast majority of Americans – 95% of Republicans, 98% of Democrats, and 93% of Independents – consider Social Security vital to the financial security of all Americans, and 67% believe it is even more important for retirees than it was five years ago.

Campaign to Focus on Protecting 50-plus Voters and Making Their Voices Heard
COVID-19 has changed how Kansans will cast their ballots in the state’s primary and general elections in August and November, 2020. AARP Kansas will be joined by Secretary of State Scott Schwab to talk about how Kansas voters can safely cast their ballots in the upcoming elections, as well as registration deadlines, voting options and other resources Kansans should know about during this election season.
AARP in Kansas City is hosting a virtual support drive to help Harvesters - The Community Food Network fight hunger. If you are lucky enough to be able to work from home or shelter in place without losing income, you are among the fortunate. Some of our friends and neighbors are not as fortunate and may need food assistance for the first time.
