Whether you’ve been an AARP member for one year or for 20+ years, here’s your chance to learn more about what your AARP Massachusetts state office is planning locally in Boston — and how you can get involved!

Introducing the AARP Massachusetts Boston Volunteer Network. Attend one of our upcoming informational meetings about this new group and learn how to help us make a difference in people’s lives through our education, service and advocacy. Your work with us can help people in Boston turn their dreams and goals into real possibilities. Refreshments and light food will be served at each informational meeting!

AARP Massachusetts Boston Volunteer Network Goals

  • To get your feedback as we shape and execute events and programs across the city of Boston. We welcome your ideas for how we can further expand what we currently offer to members in Boston.
  • To engage more of our Boston members as volunteers and volunteer leaders (in any of our programs, such as Life Reimagined, HomeFit, Fraud Watch Network, Driver Safety or Tax-Aide) so that we can reach more people across the city.
  • To brainstorm and develop more "fun" offerings for our members! For example, we currently offer free movie screenings in Boston and are looking to expand these kinds of member offerings.

You’ll hear from current volunteers about what they do, and you’ll also learn about the events and programs we have planned so far for Boston in 2016.

Can't attend one of the meetings? We still want to hear from you with suggestions for Boston or elsewhere in the state! Please email Outreach Director Kara Cohen at kcohen@aarp.org with your ideas.

To learn about our current volunteer opportunities and everything else we're working on, be sure to bookmark and regularly visit our AARPMA website.
