AARP Nebraska is recruiting advocacy volunteers to lobby on issues important to people age 50-plus during the legislative session that begins Jan. 8.

AARP staff and volunteers will meet with state legislators to discuss property tax relief, Medicaid expansion, long-term care services and retirement security. Volunteers will participate in lobby days, testify at public hearings and keep in touch with lawmakers throughout the session in person and by phone and email.

Interested? Contact Mark Intermill, AARP associate state director for advocacy, at 866-389-5651 toll-free or mintermill@aarp.org.
