AARP is thriving in Maine and we continue to be a champion for older adults and their families. Read all about some of our priority issues and access helpful resources.
A core tenet of AARP is the belief that volunteer service is one of the most important and valuable contributions a person can make to their community. AARP Maine’s Executive Council is a group of volunteer leaders from Maine’s communities who hold that same core value.
Honor Goes to Retired Educators and Greene residents, Joyce and Carl Bucciantini, whose extraordinary public service actively embodies AARP Founder Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus’ motto “To Serve, Not To be Served.”
AARP is the nation’s largest nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to empowering Americans 50 and older to choose how they live as they age. We have a membership of over 200,000 in Maine and almost 38 million nationwide. We envision a society in which everyone ages with dignity and purpose.
JULY 12, 2021: AARP Maine is pleased to announce that Noël Bonam joins the organization today as the new State Director. He succeeds Lori Parham, who served in the role for nearly ten years and accepted a new position in AARP’s national Government Affairs office in May.
