AARP Michigan is working on the “Menopause: It’s a Movement!” campaign, led by the Michigan Women’s Commission. Since March, women from across the state have attended panels in which menopause experts seek to help them better advocate for their midlife health. Their stories — and potential policy changes — will be included in a March 2026 report detailing possible next steps.

2018 Cuts to Medicare Would Reduce Access to Health Care

WASHINGTON, DC—AARP has sent a letter to the U.S. Senate expressing concerns about tens of billions of dollars in potential cuts to Medicare next year alone, as well as potential tax increases or little or no tax relief for older Americans. A 2017 law paved the way for telehealth in Michigan. AARP Michigan backed the bill and is pressing for additional legislation in 2018 to expand its reach.
