AARP Eye Center
A network of Fraud Fighter volunteers with AARP Minnesota educate our members and the public about consumer fraud and identity theft. They offer formal presentations to community groups, but also spread the word with their family and friends to help everyone avoid financial crime.
AARP partners with law enforcement agencies across the nation and locally to understand the latest trends. We also hear from our members exactly how they are being targeted by scams in real-time.
Once each month Fraud Fighters come together for a “professional development” conference call where we learn new scams to avoid and better ways to protect ourselves. Often the calls include guest from law enforcement, the financial industry, technology experts and more. The recordings are posted here so volunteers unavailable for the live call can listen later. Anyone is welcome to access these recordings by clicking below.
