"Life's most persistent and urgent question is: 'What are you doing for others?'"
– Martin Luther King Jr.
Want to make a difference in someone’s day and continue to honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. serving those less fortunate?
Join fellow AARP Volunteers to cook and serve a breakfast for people experiencing homelessness at Our Saviour’s Housing emergency shelter on MLK Day. There are 40 men and women at this South Minneapolis shelter every day. A warm breakfast is a treat for them, as they normally just have a cold cereal bar when there are not groups of volunteers there to make a warm meal. By cooking and serving a yummy breakfast you will get a chance to interact with and even eat the meal with the shelter guests.
Join us January 19th from 5:00 – 7:00 AM at Our Saviour’s Housing 2219 Chicago Ave. S, Minneapolis. Breakfast is served at 6:00
If you want to start off your MLK day right, then join us to make someones morning a little brighter!
