family and friends, seniors who live alone often decline more rapidly, and face a grim holiday season with little money to spend and limited contact from others.

Each year AARP partners with Twin Cities-based non-profit Gifts for Seniors to try add a little joy to the lives of these individuals by hosting a holiday gift drive. New, unwrapped gifts are being collected in a barrel located at the AARP Information Center at Mall of America (second floor, West Entrance). Donations can be dropped off Monday - Friday, from 10 am - 4 pm.

Throughout the holiday season, volunteers and staff from Gifts for Seniors deliver these presents to needy older individuals in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. They are immensely appreciated!

No one should live their last years without love and connection to their community. Every single gift brings a smile, and has the potential to change a life.
