Join us for a live, virtual event at 11 a.m. CT on Wednesday, April 2. Scammers posing as IRS agents or Treasury Department officials are out there, calling and trying to convince taxpayers that they owe back taxes.
This year, AARP Mississippi is presenting Veterans Town Halls throughout the state. So far, the events have been held in Southaven and Richland.

(Ridgeland, MS) - AARP Mississippi is inviting all veterans in the area to attend the AARP Veterans Town Hall on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The free event will be held at the Biloxi Civic Center, 578 Howard Avenue in Biloxi. Veterans may bring one guest. Lunch will be served.
(Ridgeland, MS) — The city of Gulfport has won the AARP Community Challenge, which aims to create change and improve quality of life at the community level. Gulfport won for its proposal to develop a Bark Park. Each winning project throughout the nation was partially or fully funded through the AARP Community Challenge grant and is set to be completed by November 1, 2017.
