In the biennial legislative session that begins Jan. 5, AARP Montana will urge lawmakers to expand Medicaid to cover the uninsured and to increase services that help people continue to live at home as they age.

Throughout the 90-day session, AARP will notify interested members about issues important to Montanans age 50-plus and encourage them to participate in the legislative process by sending emails to lawmakers to support certain bills.

“An overwhelming response from AARP members can deliver a loud, clear message to elected officials: Boomers and older Montanans are active, engaged and paying attention to important issues in Big Sky Country,” said Joy Bruck, president of AARP Montana.
